The next generation of little egg layers arrived on the farm today! Boy are they cute! Every spring our owners add to our flock, and it’s always a variety of breeds! This year we welcome a Welsummer, a Dominique, a Speckled Sussex, and 4 more Rhode Island Reds, just like me!
It will take the new girls about 6 months before they are full grown and laying eggs like my hen buddies and I. For now, they will stay inside. Once they are a bit bigger and have their real feathers, that’s when they get to come out and join us. We can’t wait!
Thanks for reading! Be sure to stay tuned for more updates about the little hens and what’s happening on and around the farm!
